As we prepare for a great first day, please review the drop-off and pick-up information and locations below to help arrival and dismissal run as smoothly and safely as possible.
We can’t wait to see you!

Transportation Reminder: FirstView App
Parents/Guardians of students who ride resident district buses are encouraged to download and register for the FirstView App as soon as possible.
We have moved to using the FirstView App instead of paper transportation information to improve efficiency and ensure students, parents/guardians, and staff have access to transportation information in real time. After reading this message, please click on this link which connects you with directions to register for the app and how to set up notification alerts, and more, https://sd.hpsd.school/page/bus-transportation-information.
Through FirstView, you can view:
Your child’s assigned bus
Bus stop location
Scheduled pick-up time
Scheduled drop-off time
Notifications if the bus is running late
An alert when the bus is approaching your stop
Other helpful transportation updates and notifications
Using FirstView allows transportation information to be communicated more efficiently and provides families with timely, real-time updates regarding their child’s bus.
We encourage all families whose students ride resident district buses to register for FirstView as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and partnership as we continue working to provide safe, efficient, and reliable transportation for our students.

Please see attached flyers from Chartwells regarding the district's breakfast and lunch program details. This includes access to the menu and other information!

To improve drop-off procedures at the middle school and reduce traffic backups onto Ripa Avenue, the following change will be implemented:
Bus routes will run 5 minutes earlier at each stop, allowing buses to arrive at the middle school and begin unloading students at 7:20 a.m. This ensures students have time to eat breakfast and be in class, ready to learn, by 7:40 a.m.
Car riders will use the Conn Avenue side of the building while buses are on the lot. Once buses depart, car riders may resume drop-off in front of the middle school.

Hancock Tigers!
Today the Prize Patrol made a special stop at Hancock Place Middle School to surprise Jennifer Hejlik as the Hancock Place School District Teacher of the Year for 2026!
Mrs. Hejlik represents the very best of Hancock Place—dedication to students, strong relationships, and a commitment to helping every learner succeed. We are proud to celebrate her outstanding work and the positive impact she has on our students and school community.

The St. Louis Junior Bonds Program is now accepting applications, and Hancock Place Middle School students qualify. This program will select 300 current 8th grade students from eligible St. Louis area districts to receive an investment of about $5,000, which will grow over time and be available starting in 2030.
Funds can be used for important future goals like college, buying a first home, starting a business, or retirement savings. The program also offers free financial planning resources to help students and families plan for the future.
Students must meet program eligibility requirements to apply.
If you’re the parent or guardian of an 8th grader at Hancock Place Middle School, this could be a great opportunity to support your child’s future!
